Are you searching for the signs of a dead end relationship in the internet as a confirmation of what you are experiencing at the moment?

If you stumbled upon this post, let me tell you, a couple of years ago, I was you. I was once in a happy relationship, but it wasn't a happy ever after, we hit the dead end road in our journey to eight years. And it made every waking moments of my life so hard! I went to work in a restaurant, providing customer experience with a heavy burden in my heart. Can you imagine that? But I told myself, when I overcome it, I'm gonna share it to the world so that no one would settle for that kind of relationship no matter how long that is.

And here I am now, sharing the "7 Warning Signs Your Relationship is Heading to the Dead End Road" through my blog which means, I've overcome it! Woooh! Thanks be to God and to my friends who's been my support system in overcoming that struggle in my life.

OK. Let's start our trip down memory lane...

1. When your partner doesn't exert enough effort to make you feel special in as simple as fetching you in your workplace and initiating date nights. You're the one who always exert effort to see him and to spend quality time with him. And it makes you feel resentful instead.

When your partner stop making effort along the way, it is a warning sign that your relationship is heading to the dead end road.

Remember, to make the relationship work, it will take a lot of efforts from both partners.

2. When you're not on the same page with your partner. One partner values marriage, the other one does not. One partner believes in God, the other one does not. One partner works full-time, the other one does not.

When you're not on the same page with your partner, it is a warning sign that your relationship is heading to the dead end road.

As partners, it is important that you are on the same page most especially in terms of values, beliefs and goals in life to make a harmonious journey into a long-lasting relationship.

3. When you stop sharing the details of how's your day went, particularly the lowlights, the struggles you are currently facing whether in your family or in your career because you felt like your partner will never understand. So, you'll end up battling it all alone.

And that is a big red flag! When you can't openly share with your partner because you felt like he would never understand shows your relationship is stuck in a surface level. It's understandable on the early stage but if you've been together for so long, it is a warning sign that your relationship is heading to the dead end road.

Communication is the key foundation of any relationship. It is the way we connect with other people. When there is no communication, there will never be a connection.

4. When you stop nagging and start stonewalling. You just shut up or you say it's okay even if it's not.

That is a big, big red flag! Bigger than number 3. Stonewalling shuts down the communication between the two of you, it makes the issues unresolved, and unresolved issues will build, build and build and then boom! Your relationship hit the dead end road.

Again, communication is the key foundation of any relationship. It is the way we connect with other people. This is just like internet. If you turned it off, you will lost the connection.

5. When your relationship is toxic. A toxic relationship is poisonous to both of you. It will caused you feeling drain - emotionally, mentally and physically and it will contaminate your happiness.

When your relationship is toxic, it is a warning sign that your relationship is heading to the dead end road.

Release that toxic for a healthy life. You are partners, you are a team, you are suppose to build each other up, not to tear each other down.

6. When you don't share future plans with each other. While it's good that you're living in the moment, still never forget where you're heading. Future or dead end road?

When you don't share future plans with each other such as your dream wedding, dream house, chances are, you don't have one together. It is a sign that your relationship is heading to the dead end road.

Our future is a blank slate. But our mind isn't. Share your dreams for the future and achieve it as a couple.

7. When God is not the center of the relationship.

When you don't share the same faith with your partner and God is not in the center, it is a sign that your relationship is heading to the dead end road.

I am a believer. And I believe that God must be put in the center of every relationship.

That's the warning signs your relationship is heading to the dead end road from my own experience.

Have you seen those signs in your relationship?

If your relationship is heading to the dead end road but you felt like there's something left to fight, hold on to that and turn around and find another way.

But if you felt like there's nothing left to fight, get out and go on your own way.

I know, i know that the thought of getting out of that relationship and going on your own way will terrify you because I chose the latter, too. And it will keep you from doing it. It kept me from doing it for two years! Trust me, you'll just only prolong the agony.

When you finally freed yourself from that ride, it feels like you release all the heavy burden you've been carrying inside your heart for a long time. It will be replaced by fresh air and fresh start.

Start the new season of your life by loving God and loving yourself.

Be strong all throughout your journey. I'm just here, cheering for you. If you need someone to talk to, you can talk to me in wherever platform. Connect with me...

  1. You are brave to share this to all of us. But really, number 2 and 7 suck the most for me.. if you are not in the same page spiritually with your partner, then you would just have all kinds of things to argue on. and it is just easy to find and point out the flaws..I pray that you will find that man that will give us an update on this post someday. If you know what I mean. :)

    1. Yeah. It's really hard not to be in the same page with your partner especially spiritually. But I believe that God let me experience it for His purpose, to turn the test into testimony. :)
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for praying. I will surely share my love story authored by God soon. <3

I am an empath. I have a gift to feel the emotion of others. I have a gift to sympathize with others. And October has been a long hard month for me. I feel negative energy worse than any other month of this year. It caused me a little pain and a little discomfort because I don't understand where its coming from... Where these feelings are coming from?  Is it still from others or is it already my own?  I had sleepless nights, panic attacks and inability to relax.  B ut I take this gift as a blessing to help others who are also suffering from anxiety, to let them feel that they are not alone in their journey.  The population of empath may be rare, but anyone can help. And someone is needing your help right now. Look around.  A family. Friends. Workmates.  Even a strong person needs someone to be there for her/him. Check them.  Help them.  Here are 10 Ways on How to Help Someone with Anxiety: 1. Learn to Recognize the Symptoms of Anxiety With this new normal, the only thin

It was on February 2018 when I left my family, my stable job, my long-time boyfriend and my hometown all behind to follow my dreams.  And my dreams led me to Manila. IT WAS THE MOST LIFE-CHANGING DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE.  From  country life,  to  city life.  From  living with my parents,  to  renting  in a condominium. From having my  own room,  to  sharing with five other people.  From waking up in the view of  mountain scenery,  to waking up in the view of  high-rise building. IT'S A WHOLE NEW WORLD FOR ME. And I'm liking it. Though, I miss my family, the home-cooked meals and my own space. But I couldn't be any prouder of myself for doing things that I don't usually do at home such as laundry and cooking. It may sounds basic. Nevertheless, it's a good start. IT'S BEEN TWO YEARS NOW SINCE I TOOK THE LEAP OF FAITH.  And I didn't regret doing it. Even though my life here was not all happiness, unicorns and rainbows. But I did really met

Hello everyone!!  I miss blogging so much. The last time I posted a blog was last March, the first month of quarantine and the topic was 19 THINGS TO DO DURING THE ENHANCE COMMUNITY QUARANTINE . Have you read it? And have you done those things?  Flash forward to August and we are still on quarantine. General Community Quarantine (GCQ) as of this writing, where persons below 21 years old and above 60 years old are required to stay at home for they are at high risk of contracting the COVID19 disease, businesses are allowed to operate at 50 to 100 percent of their regular capacity depending on the industry, malls are open, restaurants accept customers for dine-in and public transport is allowed with strict social distancing,   But for the first three months of prohibiting businesses from operating, the economy has been affected severely not just of the Philippines but of the other countries as well. Resulting to a major global recession. A lot of companies filed for bankru

H ello langga !  Langga.  That's our hiligaynon word for today. And it means beloved, dear and or dearest.  Langga is commonly used as an endearment in our province and neighboring town.  And speaking about our province, do you remember l ast year, I launched a new segment in my blog " Sweet's Journey in the Province" to  show you the beauty of my province. The beauty of Negros Occidental. From the people, language spoken, culture, foods to the places. And I've said that month by month I'll publish a blog post about my journey in the province, starting off with November, my first month here. However, after November I've never publish a blog post about my journey in the province. I must admit that the pandemic and crisis kept me from going around the province. But this March, I am so excited to tell you that I am finally resuming the segment Sweet's Journey in the Province.  In this blog, I will share with you a milestone in my journey to blogging. I w

Living in the hustle and bustle of the big city for almost three years made me appreciate the life in the province more than ever.  The fresh and cool weather.  The green fields. The mountain scenery.  The river.  The rooster's crow in the morning.    The vegetables in the backyard.  The sounds of cicadas at night.  And the presence of my family.  Ahh... Province life. 💚 In this new chapter of my life comes a new segment in my blog.  Sweet's Journey in the Province.   It is to show you the beauty of my province. The beauty of  Negros Occidental . From the people, language spoken, culture, foods to the places. Month by month I'll publish a blog post about my journey in the province. I'll start off with November, my first month here.  But before I tour you around, let me take you first to the place where I grew up, with side stories here and there.  FAMILY'S HOME Our home is located in the rural area of Bacolod City. Bacolod is the capital city of the pr

Today marks my 26th birthday and this is the 3rd time to celebrate away from home. It's kinda sad because it is one of the celebration that we look forward to as family.  But on the flip side, I got to work on my 2nd blog!! And as a celebration of my birthday, I'm going to share the 26 things I realized in my 26 years of journey in this thing called life. My wish is you will be reminded how beautiful your life is. And no matter what you went through or will go through for life is an unending process, know that it's what makes it more meaningful.  Be my guest! 26 THINGS I REALIZED IN 26 YEARS 1. You can always count on your family.  All of us has a bad side, it is the family that can see and experience it most of the time. It can lead to arguments, heated one. Fights like cat and dog. But one thing for sure, no family will ever let bad things happen to their own family.  You may hang out with your friends often than with them, but when life gets t

Hello bookworms! The only book I have read for the month of October is this,   A Million Scars and a Broken Heart by  Joena San Diego It's always been my dream to buy her books but the only thing that's holding me is the shipping fee. Good thing! They  had their first 9/9 campaign - fre e shipping for orders 500 pesos and above. This  book is worth 230 pesos. Free shipping. Thanks to my friend who also bought a book entitled "Through It All" worth 280 pesos. This is not what I have planned to read for the month of October but I have found this month a challenging one, and I am in need of books that will help me face reality with a strong spirit instead of fantasy books that will just let me hide in my own world.  And this book is a perfect choice!  A Million Scars and a Broken Heart will let you revisit  t he scar of the past, the scar of forgiveness, the scar of waiting, the scar of words, the scar of expectations, the scar of emotions and the broken hear

Hello bookworms! It's Christmas time! One of the traditions in this season is to put up a Christmas tree. As a book-lover,  I put up our Christmas tree using some of the books I owned which are also made from trees for trees is used to produce papers and papers is used to produce books.  It's also a time to do a recap of all the books I've read this year. I've only read 6 books.  It's very few for someone who claims to be a book-lover but I have my reason.  I feel guilty that I can read a fiction book in one sitting but my Bible reading doesn't even last for 5 minutes. I want to spend more time with the Word of God and if I can't do that, I don't deserve a time to read a fiction book but if I can do that, I reward myself a time to read a fiction book.  So here's the fiction books I've rewarded myself this year:  1. The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare I've seen 'Shadowhunter' in Netflix and I have this
